Service Hour Opportunity Submission

Our CCE Erie Master Gardener Volunteer Service Opportunities seek to reach diverse Erie County audiences and be accessible to all residents.  All opportunities should include an education component. Participation should be open to as many interested Master Gardener volunteers as possible.   Our Master Gardener leadership committee meets monthly, therefore it may take 4-6 weeks to review your application.  If you application is approved and you are not currently working with a Master Gardener Program Volunteer, we will work to identify one to assist you.

CCE Erie Master Gardener Program Mission

The mission of the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Master Gardener Program is to prepare peer educators who interact with community audiences to share local experience and research-based knowledge in support of gardens, lawns and landscapes with an emphasis on food security and environmental stewardship. Master Gardener Program volunteers provide programs and resources for adult and youth populations. Our Erie County Extension Association works with the Ithaca-based Cornell Cooperative Extension Garden Based Learning program to offer this volunteer training to local residents who are interested in serving their communities to provide sustainable focused horticulture education.

For approved service opportunities, we appreciate hearing about your success!  We may reach out to you for information on number of people reached, stories and pictures (with permission).

If you have questions or feedback on the application process, reach out to Sharon Bachman.  (See contact information below.)
