Service Hour Opportunity Submission

Through our volunteers, partner organizations, and Service Opportunities, our Master Gardner Program seeks to cultivate connections with residents across Erie County.  Service Opportunities should include an educational component for volunteers and/or the public. Our application review process may take 4-6 weeks.  If you application is approved and you are not currently working with a Master Gardener Program Volunteer, we will work to identify one to assist you but we cannot guarantee that we will find an interested volunteer.

CCE Erie Master Gardener Program Mission

The mission of the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Master Gardener Program is to prepare peer educators who interact with community audiences to share local experience and research-based knowledge in support of gardens, lawns and landscapes with an emphasis on food security and environmental stewardship. Master Gardener Program volunteers provide programs and resources for both adults and youth.

Our Erie County Extension Association works with the Ithaca-based Cornell Cooperative Extension Garden Based Learning program to offer this volunteer training to local residents who are interested in serving their communities to provide sustainable focused horticulture education.

For approved service opportunities, we appreciate hearing about your success! We may reach out to you for information on number of people reached, stories and pictures (with permission).

If you have questions or feedback on the application process, reach out to Sharon Bachman.  (See contact information below.)
