Farmer / Buyer Meet & Greet

  • Monday, September 25, 2017, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

EAST AURORA, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County and Harvest NY, Field and Fork Network, and Eden Valley Growers are hosting a farmer buyer meet & greet. The primary goal of this event is to connect farmers interested in selling to wholesale markets with buyers interested in purchasing NYS grown farm goods.

The event will feature:

  • targeted buyer/farmer networking opportunities;
  • tasty menu samples, courtesy of 42 North Brewing Company, highlighting innovative and affordable ways to use NYS farm products in both restaurants and institutional food markets, to include, but not limited to, hospitals, schools and universities;
  • sources of publicly available resources to identify farm partners; and
  • a brief discussion on good agricultural practices (GAP) and how it relates to improved food safety for customers.

This event is open to farmers in the Western NY region growing and/or raising any farm item they’d like to sell to wholesale markets, which includes restaurants. Likewise, food buyers of any variety or size in Western NY are encouraged to attend.

The meet & greet will take place at 42 North Brewing Company, 25 Pine St., East Aurora, NY 14052 on Monday, September 25th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
