Harvest of the Month is a Farm to School initiative that promotes a different locally grown food in the school cafeteria (and beyond) each month.
The Buffalo Farm to School team worked with local farmers and produce distributors to identify what locally-grown fruits and vegetables would be available each month, and contracted with graphic designer Julian Montague to develop Harvest of the Month posters for each of these items. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County Eat Smart New York nutrition educators provided content for newsletters and infographics for each Harvest of the Month fruit and vegetable.
These materials are available for use in your Farm to School program. We encourage you to display the posters and infographics in your school cafeterias, use the icons on your lunch menu, upload the newsletters and infographics to your school nutrition website, and distribute the newsletters and infographics to parents via print, email, social media, or parent portals.
Artwork for these posters, infographics, newsletters, and icons was created by Julian Montague.
PDFs can be edited to include your school or program's name.
