Communities in Bloom Gardening Classes

There will be two Saturday classes for Communities in Bloom in February, with two topics presented each day. Sign up to learn something new as you wait out winter! Sessions presented by current CCE Erie Master Gardener Volunteers.Both sessions will be held at the Town of Aurora Senior Center; 101 King Street; East Aurora, NY.

  • 9:00—10:15 am Garden Design 101   Speaker: Nora Saintz

Learn essential steps to create a beautiful cohesive garden no matter the size of the space.

  • 10:30--11:45 am Incorporating Native Plants Into Your Garden  Speaker: Lyn Chimera

How to select appropriate native plants for your landscape; native plants vs. cultivars; and where to purchase native plants in WNY.

February 28, 2026

  • 9:00—10:15 am What’s Wrong With My Plant?  Speaker: Carol Ann Harlos

Bring your plant, a piece, or a good picture, and your questions.

  • 10:30—11:45 am Win the War Against Problems in the Vegetable Garden Speaker: Margaret Raupp

Great tips from Master Gardeners for a happy, healthy vegetable garden this year.

Cost:  Master Gardeners $20/each date, Public $25/each date

Register no later than 2 days before each event. Space is limited.
