The 2025 NYS Winter Greenhouse and Growers School will take place on January 23, 2025 with morning virtual and afternoon in-person classes available. Attend half day or full day. This class will allow attendees to earn NYS DEC Pesticide Recertification credits.

Afternoon Program - 1:00 – 4:30 PM IN PERSON

  • Understanding Greenhouse Energy Use and Carbon Footprint: Audits, Benchmarking, and Monitoring – Neil Mattson, Cornell University
  • New Year, New Arthropod Pests on the Horizon and New Approaches to Control Current Pest – Betsy Lamb, NYS IPM
  • Invasive Species and the Greenhouse Industry –Rachel Taylor WNY PRISM
  • Tips to Address Wildlife Damage for Nursery and Greenhouse Operations – Ryan Rockefeller, Biologist, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

Cost:

VIRTUAL (AM) only $30 *($25 for CCE Erie Ag Supporter)
IN-PERSON (PM) only $30 *($25 for CCE Erie Ag Supporter)
Both Programs $60 *($55 for CCE Erie Ag Supporter)

*(Ag Supporters only allow one $5 discount for the workshop to be applied to the full day or an am or pm session)

Growers may earn NYS DEC pesticide recertification credits by attending. Credits have been approved. Only those who register and stay for the entire course will receive a Recertification Course Certificate. There will be separate certificates for the morning and afternoon programs.
