A ground lease is a long-term shared ownership agreement that keeps farmland more affordable while allowing farmers to build equity in farm infrastructure. The Columbia Land Conservancy and the Thompson-Finch Farm (Ancram, NY) are ready to transition their ground lease to the next farmers. We will be joining online via Zoom to hear land trust staff and the farmers discuss the farm, the ground lease transition, and the application process to become the next farm stewards. Dinner will be provided.
There is no cost to participate in this program. Registration is required and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16.
