Register Here for the 2019 Farm to School Workshop

Join Farm to School Coordinators from Cornell Cooperative Extensions of Erie, Niagara, and Allegany Counties for a regional Farm to School Workshop for Food Service Directors. This workshop will focus on addressing challenges, knowledge barriers, and opportunities unique to Farm to School programming in these counties. The workshop will provide an overview of procurement methods, review NY products available in WNY and the vendors that distribute them, describe how the Pilot Project and “30% NY initiative” can run concurrently, provide a roadmap to 30% NY, cover updates to tracking and reporting NY purchases toward the 30% NY initiative, explore how you can market your Farm to School program including initiatives planned for our counties, and discuss the NYS F2S grant and application process. Attendees may choose to stay after the meeting to meet with their F2S Coordinator one-on-one or in groups.

Please note that while this meeting is targeted to Food Service Directors, FSDs are welcome to bring other members of their Farm to School teams. The workshop will include presentations that may be especially relevant to finance staff, those involved in marketing and promoting Farm to School, and anyone who may assist in applying for the NYS Farm to School grant.

Registration includes a locally-sourced lunch.
