Urban Farm Twilight Meeting-Beginning Farmer Discussion Group

Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County (CCE Erie) on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018, for an Urban Farm Twilight Meeting, where participants will engage in peer-based learning. During this workshop, Judson Reid, Senior Extension Associate with the Cornell Vegetable Program (CVP), will highlight current disease issues in the 2018 growing season.CVP and CCE Erie have been working together on an organic vegetable trial to monitor diseases. During this workshop, the audience will visit the on farm research plots and explore the results collected from the trial. Participants will be guided by Judson Reid through a hands-on demonstration of how to scout for weeds, insects and diseases on urban farms. .

Sponsored by Towards Sustainability Foundation, the Twilight Meeting is an informal meeting, held at GroundWork Market Garden, 1698 Genesee Street, Buffalo from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and is free to attend.
